You will notice that the crosshairs do not immediately go to where the tone is telling you they should be. This is a gripe of mine with the Explorer. The thing is, the crosshairs only go to where they are suppose to be when you get the threshold back. So if you are hunting where it is nulling a lot it is difficult to get the threshold back - for thecrosshairs give you an accurate reading. Use the tones primarily and the meter as a backup. Sometimes you can get the signal and then raise the coil quickly to get the threshold back and a good meter reading. It works fine once you get use to it. Trust the tones, if it is repeatable it is down there. - Robin
